Zoo Fun

I have been very picture-happy lately, but the sun is out and my kids are just so darn cute! I took the boys to the zoo yesterday morning while Ryan worked and then we took Ryan back with us this morning to show him the new baby chimpanzee. Our church only meets on Sunday evenings so it gives us the morning for family time!

Nate loves being outdoors too. Ben's favorite attraction is the water and sometimes the fish in the water.

The Carter boys travel is style.

So cute.

Ben is trying to pronounce most words these days. Here, he is saying "okapi," the name of that funny looking animal.

Only recently Ben has realized just how big and scary the animals can seem and does not like to be near them. He totally freaks in the petting zoo area so we just avoid it now. He is also scared of the chimpanzees, gorillas and tigers when they are near the glass. I think he recognizes the name of them even. If I tell him we are going to see the gorillas he will start to protest. Hopefully he will outgrow it soon because those are some of the most fun animals to watch.

Windblown + tired = great zoo trip
