We officially graduated from our childbirth prep class this afternoon. We have some tools and techniques to practice and hopefully we will be able to make it without serious drugs (at least that is my plan). Since Ryan doesn't want to be a part of any of the 'gross' stuff for fear of passing out, he should make a wonderful coach - all his attention will be on my eyes and probably on his own breathing patterns. I can just follow him. We got to tour the birthing center where I will deliver. The room is very spacious and has a fold out couch for Ryan to sleep over, a separate little room with its own door with a phone and TV and chairs. Each room has a jacuzzi tub and shower combo. They offer mats and birthing balls and all those wonderful extras should I want them. And, they have a little common kitchen where Ryan can keep food in a frig, use the microwave, get coffee, etc. It looked like a pretty good setup. Now, we just wait.
We will go to the doctor again Monday afternoon and report back if there is any more progress made.
