This weekend we tried a little Wichita culture by going to the Wichita State University Volleyball game. I love volleyball and we have heard that the Lady Wheat Shockers (you don't hear that name in Texas) are very good. The tickets were cheap and the parking was free - even better. We knew the team color was a very bright yellow because we have seen it in every store at the check-out counter, but that day we just both happened to wear red, not really thinking about going to the game. And, neither of us have any yellow. We got to the game and realized that we were two of maybe ten people NOT in Shocker Yellow. Oops. If we go again, we might invest in a Wal-Mart $4 Shocker t-shirt. We took the picture to hopefully remind us of just how wrong our Cougar Red (University of Houston) looked among the Shocker Yellow. The picture is mostly our faces, so you don't really get a good view of just how much yellow was in the stadium, but you can imagine.
Pregnancy Update: Morning sickness ended just after 12 weeks, so that was a great change. My struggle now is that there is no real evidence that I am pregnant. I can't tell that my belly is getting bigger each day and I don't visit the toilet anymore, so what 'proves' that I am pregnant? I am just anxiously waiting for my next appointment (Oct 8) to hear the heartbeat again. I do feel pretty normal though - almost normal amount of energy and not starving all the time. I still forget everything, so I try to write it down. Even yesterday at the grocery store, with a list in hand of only five items, I would look at this list, take a couple of steps and then have to stop and look at the list again. Crazy!

Wow, what a bunch of clothes! You have never had that many outfits at one time in your life! I don’t envy you the ironing (pressing) as that is one of my most dreaded household chores (although I still do it). I guess I passed that down to your mother and then she passed it on to you. What a nice friend to send you all her maternity clothes. I loved the pictures of all the laundry. Do you have closet space and hangers for all that? I am so glad that you are feeling better. Can’t wait to hear about your next doctor appointment.
Love ya,
Grandma
PS Can't believe you wore "red" to a "yellow" game!
Sadly, I have more than enough hangers because I had to take out all my 'regular size' clothes and box them up for the next few months. That left me with more hangers than clothes. And, I wont be getting all my winter clothes out because they wont fit either!
Ambs, you're truly an iron woman. WINK!
We love local sports! We go the the college football games here in Troy. I do have to admit their not really a small town team though. They're playing Ohio State, LSU Oklahoma State and Arkansas this season, just to name a few teams. But it's a whole lot of fun for very little $$$! Glad the morning sickness has passed and how COOL on the clothes! If I sneak my ironing in there you shouldn't even notice, right?!?
Amber--Three words...Downy Wrinkle Releaser! This is a miracle in a bottle. Seriously:)
We hang dry our clothes too, then we spray this on it and do a little smoothing action, and no more wrinkles! It doesn't work too well on really thick materials, like Peter's cargo shorts. But for everything else...it is the most wonderful item in my house...AND it smells fresh!
It is so good to keep up with you all. We are so excited for you and your new little one!
Maternity clothes are such a blessing! Especially when you get to a stage where you can't breath because the pants are too tight, or the shirt is S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D out to the max. I think I damaged a few of my shirts, trying to wear them when I needed maternity clothes instead. Congrats on your new abundance!!! =)
