This past week we spent every moment together in Branson, Missouri. We stayed in a lovely condo that felt like home. It was fabulous. We went out and enjoyed the sites and shared a bunch of laughs and made many memories. It was wonderful.
I will never understand a bathtub in the master bedroom, but the boys loved it. And by loved it I mean LOVED it.
I got better at making the bubbles with every bath.
Until you almost couldn't see their little heads.
Water and fire show at Branson Landing...
...was a bit loud for my boys.
Bass Pro Shop
We took a 4 hour hike in Dogwood Canyon. A gorgeous place!
We started hydrated and ready to go.
We ended sweaty, with tired feet, but feeling accomplished.
Such wonderful sites.
Looking off a balcony of a little chapel.
Photo-op
Climbing.
Ben is so daring.
Family at the waterfall.
I love how their poses get more and more goofy as we go.
Fabulous pool under the waterfall.
Perfect place for a picnic.
Behind a waterfall.
Ben posed and asked me to take his pic, but then gave me this face.
The hard part of the hike. 2 miles were easy. 2 miles were not.
Good Daddy.
Sweet boy. It was naptime and he walked four miles.
Sweaty nose.
Our condo had mini-golf. Like every other place in Branson. Weird.
The boys' technique was a bit unconventional.
The great thing about staying in a 2 bedroom condo - the boys could do whatever they wanted in their room (within reason of course).
Our goofy faces before leaving for the boys' special treat.
Their first ever movie in the theater - Planes. Ben leaned over to Ryan at least 10 times and said, "Dad, this is AWESOME!"
We ate at a restaurant called Mel's where the wait staff sing and serve the food. Our waiter said he could bring Ben just a little scoop of ice cream and this is what he got!
Nate loved it, but then said, "Mom, he isn't a real cowboy. He didn't have boots on."
Random find.
I wanted to try too.
We explored an underground cavern.
The boys loved it.
Can you see Ben? He spent 5 minutes climbing through this "cave-like" maze.
Feeding the trout at a hatchery.
At a look-out point by the Table Rock Lake dam.
Beautiful place.
Another picnic. This boy loves to eat.
As does this boy.
Testing out the waters.
The rocks were quite uncomfortable on the feet, but the boys played for a couple of hours.
Stacking rocks.
Can we go yet?
Sweet boy.
Ah...
The boys found some fishing line and rigged fishing poles. They are holding the poles and I am holding the "bait." I think Ben actually thought he could catch something.
